No GP referral is required for ACC. I can register an accident for you with ACC.

You benefit from seeing a musculoskeletal specialist and the consultation will be similar to that of any registered medical practitioner. You receive a more personal and thorough treatment in a more relaxing and less stressful environment. A detailed case history is taken, how your symptoms began, what affects them, health problems, accidents or injuries, medications, surgeries and lifestyle habits.

Neurological, orthopaedic, cardiovascular etc examinations may also be performed, where relevant. Osteopathic evaluation of your bodys biomechanics (structure, posture and physical movements) would then conclude the examination, leading to a diagnosis.

Classical osteopathic treatment involves assessment and generally treatment of the whole body, not just the site of pain. Global biomechanics are often involved and pain may refer from other areas: e.g. shoulder pain can associate with neck and upper back pain; or leg and hip pain with the pelvis and lower back.

Please wear loose and comfortable clothing. Allow up to one hour for your initial visit.

Osteopathy can go beyond treating muscle and joint pain, and other conditions may respond well. The Nervous System (spinal cord) controls blood flow and functioning of internal organs, and problems with digestion, headaches, stress, sleep, immunity, energy levels and general health can all be improved.

I also work with traditional acupuncture. Acupuncture treat painful conditions well - and other conditions such as headaches, fatigue, digestion, etc
